Dental implants are usually made of titanium and act as a replacement for your natural tooth roots. Once placed in your jawbone, the bone gradually integrates with the implant, creating a strong and stable foundation. On top of the implant, we may attach a crown, bridge, or denture (depending on what you need) to restore the appearance and function of your teeth.
The entire process usually takes approximately three to nine months, depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. During this time, we’ll guide you at every step to help ensure comfort and successful healing.
Dental implant treatment is provided at our practice by Dr Mark O’Hara who has extensive postgraduate training in implantology and prosthodontics. Consultations are available to discuss your suitability for dental implants, as well as alternative treatment options.
